5 Famous Japanese Warriors And Their History

If you are aware from the tradition of Japan then probably you would have listened about the Samurai as well.  They basically belong to a group of warriors who were associated with some different elite classes and were so much popular for being loyal and for their ferocity.  The term Samurai can never be removed from the history pages of Japan because they were responsible for shaping the whole civilization of Japan.
They are the real symbol of Japanese culture.  There is a long list of Japanese warriors who are part of history pages and are a true sign of nobility and courage.  So here we have a rundown list of top 5 famous Japanese warriors and their history:

5. Takeda Shingen

Takeda Shingen is also known by the name of Tiger of Kai. They were known out to be the fearsome warriors and poets. They fought in so many battles one after another.  While involved in the fourth battle of Kawanakajima, he even met one of his main rivals Uesugi Kenshin. He was known out to be one of the warriors who got into fight with Oda Nobunaga and had the power to stop him. Shingen died in the year 157 due to some mysterious conditions which is still not known.

4. Honda Tadakatsu

Honda Tadakatsu is the next on our list! He is also known by the name of ‘The Warrior who surpassed Death,’ Honda Tadakatsu was famously known as among the fiercest warriors which the Japan has ever introduced. He has fought in more than 100 battles and had never face defeat in any of it.  In all his battles, he used to take his favorite weapon along with him which was spear. Later on his spear become popular by the name of Dragonflycutter. This spear used to bring fear in his opponent eyes.

3. Miyamoto Musashi

Miyamoto Musashi is the third most famous warriors in the history of Japan! He was known for his sword power. He fought in the battle for the first time at the age of 13 which held in between Toyotomi clan against the Tokugawa clan.  He then travelled throughout the whole Japan and made himself to be the part of so many duels against his various powerful opponents. Musashi’s turned out to be the most popular duel in the year 1612 when he got into the fight battle with master swordsman Sasaki Kojiro and eventually killed him. He spent rest of the years of his life in writing and wrote a book as “The Book of Five Rings”. This book was basically about different sorts of sword-fighting techniques.

2. Toyotomi Hideyoshi

On the second spot we will bring you the name of Toyotomi Hideyoshi!  He was a powerful warrior and ruler. He belonged to a peasant family background and in just a slow time period he proved his fighting skills in so many battles. From the year 1585 till 1598, he ruled over some of the major Japan areas.  But he never accepted the title of being a Shogun. Hideyoshi also build the giant Osaka Castle, and remunerated the battles to simply conquer Korea as well as China. After his death his entire clan was obliterated.

1. Oda Nobunaga

Last but on the top we have Oda Nobunaga! His name will always be remembered in the history of Japan.  He was not just a charismatic leader but a worth mentioning ruler as well. In the year 1560, he eventually killed Yoshimoto Imagawa who made an attempt to take hold over Kyoto. He used to fight in his battles with firearms. One of his generals named Akechi Mitsuhide betrays him and killed him. He burned his temple in which Oda was sleeping.
